Dear Dean Alfadala and Dean Al-Qaradawi,
We have received an invitation from the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) offering
QU students in Engineering or Science specializations an opportunity to join the training
program from June 22- July 31, 2008 (6 weeks).
Here is information regarding the program:
Criteria:
Students should have a GPA of at least 3.0 or above.
How to Apply:
1. Nomination from the college of engineering or college of arts & sciences is expected by
Wednesday May 28, 2008.
2. Nomination application should be comprised of the following:
a. Students transcript
b. Photocopy of students passport
c. 2 personal photos
3. For female students, approval of the guardian and an attested photocopy of the
guardians ID.
KISR will cover the following:
1. Roundtrip airfare to students (those traveling by car will not be compensated)
2. Accommodations
3. Transportation
4. Remuneration/honorarium

Attached is a copy of the invitation. It is worth mentioning that the invitation is dated April 6,
2008 but was received in our office via mail on May 21, 2008. Although the deadline indicated is
May 22, 2008, after contacting them, they have agreed to extend it to Thursday, May 29, 2008.
Nominations will need to be received no later than this date.
